Está aquí: Inicio English Who's Greg?

I'm just a normal guy in the Midwest (United States) trying to work "during the day" to support my family and minister in my "spare time" to please the Lord.

I grew up in and around Belton, MO. In 1984 I left high school to go into the U.S. Marine Corps where I successfully completed a six-year tour of duty. I then attended Central Missouri State University (now called the University of Central Missouri) in Warrensburg where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (functional major: accounting).

While in college, during my sophomore year, I became a Christian. Shane Sanderson shared the message of the Christ with me (several times) and the Lord convicted me of my sin, His righteousness, and coming judgment. So, in the Fall of 1988 I repented of my sins and turned in faith to the Lord Jesus Christ.

After I graduated college, I worked for Price-Waterhouse as an auditor. I married my first boss: Sue. We've been married since 1991 and have three children: Alex, Kevin, and Rebeka.

I attended the Shepherd's School of Ministry, a four-year Bible institute in my local church, the Kansas City Baptist Temple. I then obtained a Master of Arts in Theology and Biblical Studies from Luther Rice Seminary. In August of 1995, I was ordained by and sent out from the Kansas City Baptist Temple.

Sue and I were sent as missionaries to Bogotá, Colombia, where we learned language and culture under the ministry of "La Biblia Dice" church. God then opened the door for us to move to San José, Costa Rica, and minister at Emanuel Baptist Church. After five years at Emanuel developing Bible Institute curriculum and building the discipleship ministry, God allowed us to start Eastside Church on the opposite side of town, by the University of Costa Rica, in March of 2002.

In December 2010, at the request of their sending church, we returned from the mission field. I left Eastside Church in the very gifted and capable hands of three pastors and several more leaders, all of which were trained for the ministry at Eastside.

After returning home, I started Harvest Baptist Church in southern Johnson County, Kansas, on April 10, 2011. I pastored Harvest for three years and then my family and I felt it was time to move to Crest Bible Church in Merriam, Kansas, where we had the freedom to focus on starting an Hispanic Ministry.
